Loxton is a town in the Karoo region of South Africa’s Northern Cape province. It is one of the major wool-producing centers and one of the largest garlic-producing areas in South Africa. Despite its semi-desert status, The Karoo is still one of the most pristine areas to visit in the Northern Cape and places to visit include Akkerendam Nature Reserve, Gariep Dam Nature Reserve, Karoo Gariep Conservancy, Molteno Pass and Tankwa Karoo National Park.
